The Italian Moveable Feast is a guided dining tour of restaurants on Preston Street.

Groups of 10-14 diners visit different Preston Street restaurants (and initial antipasto reception and final dessert destination). The groups rotate from restaurant to restaurant in order to taste each dish plus a dessert to complete their meals.

Each restaurant prepares and serves the same dish to each group at scheduled times throughout the evening and each dish is served with a paired wine.

Each group is led by a guiding sommelier who will provide information and insight into the dish, its region of origin, wine pairing, etc.

Street Construction and Dress Notes:

We should also mention that the Preston Street beautification project and sewer project are underway on the street.  Although sections of the street are under construction we are still able to navigate the entire street.

Please wear comfortable footware and unfortunately that means ladies, please leave your high heels at home.  This event is rain or shine so having an umbrella with you is a good idea as well.

La Vendemmia - Ottawa's Celebration of Italian Wine & Food

In Italian tradition, harvest time is when Farmers gather together to celebrate the earth's bounty, catch up with their neighbors, and offer their produce. It is a time of merriment, celebrating the end of the intense work involved in planting, growing, and harvesting. Wine -- being such an integral part of any gathering of friends -- has its own celebratory harvest tradition. Fresh off the vine grapes are poured into huge vats, and crushed in the first stage of this centuries old art form. View all La Vendemmia events at www.prestonstreet.com/lavendemmia/
